Privacy Policy
Effective date: July 30, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Eventeract collects, uses, shares, and protects information when hosts create event websites and guests visit or interact with them.
1. Information we collect
The information we collect depends on how you use Eventeract:
- Account information: name, email address, authentication details, and profile information you provide when creating or managing an account.
- Event content: event names, schedules, invitations, messages, registry links, images, game content, and other material hosts add to an event site.
- Guest content: display names, RSVPs, answers, scores, messages, photos, captions, and other submissions made while participating in an event.
- Transaction information: purchase status and related billing details. Payment card information may be collected directly by a payment processor rather than by Eventeract.
- Contact information: your name, email address, message, and selected topic when you submit the Eventeract contact form.
- Technical information: device and browser type, IP address, pages viewed, timestamps, diagnostic information, and identifiers stored through cookies or similar browser technologies.
2. How we use information
We use information to:
- Provide, operate, maintain, and secure Eventeract;
- Create accounts and authenticate users;
- Publish event sites and enable galleries, games, slideshows, guest messages, and other requested features;
- Process purchases and maintain transaction records;
- Communicate about accounts, events, support requests, security, and material service changes;
- Diagnose problems, prevent fraud and abuse, and improve the service; and
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms.
We do not use event photos for our own marketing, advertising, analytics, artificial intelligence training, or any purpose unrelated to providing the features selected by the host. We only process event photos as needed to store, display, share, and allow downloads within the applicable event experience.
4. Public event content
Hosts choose what to publish and who receives an event link. Information placed on a published event site may be visible to anyone with access to that link and may be copied or shared by others. Guests should only submit content they are comfortable sharing with the host and event audience. Hosts are responsible for providing any notices or obtaining any permissions required for their event and guest list.
5. Retention and security
We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the service, maintain business and transaction records, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and meet legal obligations. Retention periods vary by the type of information and why it was collected.
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards. No internet transmission or storage system is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
6. Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, or objection regarding your personal information. You may also withdraw consent where processing relies on consent.
You can manage certain account and event information within the service. Browser settings can control cookies and local storage, although disabling them may prevent some features from working. To make a privacy request, contact us using the address below. We may need to verify your identity before completing a request.
7. Children's privacy
Eventeract is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 without appropriate authorization. If you believe a child has provided personal information in violation of this policy, please contact us so we can review and address the request.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the service or legal requirements change. We will post the revised version here and update the effective date. If changes are material, we may provide additional notice where appropriate.
